1. How to Enter:NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Hard Rock Cafe Presents Little Steven's Underground Garage Guitar Give-A-Way ("Sweepstakes") begins at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on January 31st , 2003 and ends at 4:00 pm (EST) on February 28th , 2003 ("Sweepstakes Period"). To enter: 1) go to hardrock.com, click on the Little Steven's Underground Garage Link, then click on "Enter Little Steven's Underground Garage Guitar Give-A-Way" banner and fill out the registration form (Limit: one entry per person via hardrock.com) or 2) Legibly hand-print your name, address, zip code, date of birth, plus day and evening phone numbers on a 3"x 5" card and then mail the card in a stamped envelope to: Hard Rock Cafe Presents Little Steven's Underground Garage Guitar Give-A-Way Entry, Attn: Customer Service, 6100 Old Park Lane, Orlando, FL 32835. Mail entries must be postmarked before February 18th , 2003. Limit: one 3" x 5" card per envelope. Contest is limited to one entry per person (regardless of whether entry is submitted via hardrock.com or U.S. mail). Hard Rock Cafe International (USA), Inc. will not verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsors and will not be returned. 2. Eligibility: To enter the Sweepstakes you must be a legal resident of the United States and be 18 years of age or older. Sweepstakes is void in Rhode Island and Puerto Rico and where restricted or prohibited by law. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within the United States. Employees of Hard Rock Cafe International (USA), Inc. and its affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities"), and their immediate families and members of their households, are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. 3. Drawing and Notification:Winner will be selected from all eligible entries received in a random drawing held on March 3rd, 2003 . Odds of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by phone and/or email. If a potential winner cannot be reached within two (2) days of the sweepstakes drawing (by phone and/or e-mail) from the first notification attempt, then such person shall be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. 4. Prizes: Each winner will receive one Fender Stratocaster Guitar autographed by Steven Van Zandt (Approx. Retail Value $350.00). Prize cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash except at Sponsor's sole discretion, and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. 5. Prize Conditions: If prizes or prize notifications are returned as undeliverable, this will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. All federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this Sweepstakes will be the sole responsibility of each winner. Except where prohibited by law, the winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities, its promotional partners and authorized licensees to use said winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation. 6. Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Winner and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes. 7. Limitations of Liability: Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, destroyed, or postage-due mail entries and/or lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete entries due to system errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, or for any problems or technical malfunction(s) of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or entries not received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on computer networks, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Sweepstakes or downloading any material for the Sweepstakes, or other telecommunications malfunctions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
