Bob Dylan

Guitar Strap

In 1991, Dylan received a lifetime achievement Grammy. Though he certainly had a lifetime’s worth of achievements, there was so much more to come. Over fifteen years after receiving the award that typically caps a performer’s career, Bob is still a vital force in rock. This is the guitar strap Dylan wore at the ’91 Grammys when he performed his classic, Masters of War.It’s certainly uncharacteristically flashy for the Mystery Tramp, but he wore it well nonetheless.

John Entwhistle

Status Buzzard Bass

This 8-string Status Buzzard bass is from John’s Flock of Buzzards– his collection of stage basses on the late ’90s. John designed the Buzzard bass in 1985 and used a number of manufacturers to create them. This one is solid graphite, so it’s surprisingly light for such a big bass.

Jimi Hendrix

Persian Rug

When Hendrix sat crossed-leg on the floor of his London flat in a haze of incense and hashish smoke playing the kind of music that makes the angels sing, he did it on this Bokhara rug.

Nikki Sixx

B.C. Rich Warlock Bass

Anyone who doesn’t think Mötley Crüe’s 1983 album, Shout at the Devil, kicks ass is not to be trusted. Nikki used this extra-evil B.C. Rich Warlock on the album and subsequent tour.
