Throughout U2’s mega-successful ‘Zoo TV’ tour, Bono wore these wraparound “Fly” sunglasses. Though “The Fly” was a character he created for the tour, it sometimes carried over to his offstage life. Kurt Cobain told a journalist that Bono came to his dressing room during this period to dispense some wisdom about Kurt’s new-found “superstar voice of the generation” status (which Bono definitely knows about), but never once took off his shades during this attempt at a heart-to-heart.
Elton John wore this button-up, butterfly-collared shirt during his ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ era. Almost without question his best album; ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ features some of his most enduring classics, the names of which are embroidered on this shirt. “Benny and the Jets”, “Harmony”, “Candle in the Wind” – they're all here.
