Alex Lifeson
Paul Reed Smith Guitar
In a career that has spanned more than thirty years, Canadian prog rock icons Rush have carved out their own unique place among rock royalty. With their instrumental virtuosity and odd-meter rhythms, Rush albums have become a sort of music school for budding players. This PRS electric was used by guitarist Alex Lifeson on Rush's Counterparts tour in 1994.
Paul McCartney
Salary Receipt
Though they’re forever associated with Liverpool’s Cavern Club, Hamburg, Germany is where the Beatles really became a kick-ass rock ’n’ roll band. This receipt is from the Star Club. It’s a pay stub for a performance in 1962. Paul received the cash – 425 German marks. Back then, the Beatles were so raw that they were virtually a punk band. That’s a very, very good thing.
Gene Simmons
Demon Lizard Costume
Demon bat-lizard – and savvy accountant – Gene Simmons slithered into this little number during KISS' 1996 Alive Worldwide Reunion tour. This is the complete costume with a black unitard bodysuit, a black leather studded vest, matching armbands, leather batwings under each arm, and a pair of 7 inch black leather studded “dragon” boots. It is the coolest thing ever.
