Hard Rock Cafe Austin and The Hard Rock Cafe Pin Collectors' Club are extremely proud to present the 7th Annual "Texas Pin Shootout", a pin collector's event scheduled for 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2003.

The idea for the "Texas Pin Shootout" began back in 1996 one year after the highly successful "4-Traders PinFest VI" was held in Dallas. The Texas collectors had such a great time at that event that they decided to have a "Lone Star State" event each year. The event was started with the idea of a way for Texas collectors to get together on an annual basis. Shortly after people from all over the country began attending thus the "Shootout" sprang its roots as a great annual event for everyone. Each year since, the "Texas Shootout" has been moved around to the other great Hard Rock Cafes in Texas thus allowing attendees the chance to visit the great cities in The Lone Star State and have a great time at each cafe.

With that bit of history we are happy to annouce this year's event will be held in the new Austin cafe that was opened just last year. For those who have never visited the new cafe, you are in for a Texas size treat. This is the first major pin event being held in Austin and Wayne Kammerl and his great Austin Staff want to make sure you have a great time.

Many of you know this has always been a great event with a long running tradition and we expect more of the same this year. The "Texas Pin Shootout" event will be a day of pin trading, meeting other collectors, and having a great time at the Austin Hard Rock Cafe.

By the way, be sure and bring your HRCPCC card for that next swipe and don't forget "Dallas", "Houston", and "San Antonio" on the way!!

Also, for anyone interested in getting a bit of a head start, the Austin Hard Rock Cafe will provide a buffet breakfast for all you early birds. Starting at 9:00 - 11:00 AM you can sit back and enjoy a Texas-sized, "Twist and Shout" breakfast buffet that includes fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, country potatoes, french toast with maple syrup, cereal with milk, regular toast, coffee, juice and soft drinks for only $9.95 per person.

Special event merchandise will be on sale the day of the event and of course some great laminates will be provided to all who attend to mark the occasion.

Below is a preliminary schedule of events:
Saturday - April 12
  • 09:00a - Cafe doors open for event attendees only.

  • 09:00a - Registration starts and a great day of trading begins.

  • 09:00a - "Twist and Shout" breakfast buffet provided by the cafe till 11:00. ($9.95)

  • 10:00a - Silent auction begins and will conclude at 1 PM.

  • 12:30p - Extra event items go on sale.

  • 04:00p - "Texas Pin Shootout" event ends.

    The "Texas Pin Shootout" event will celebrate by offering you the chance to bid on some great silent auction items. The proceeds from this year's auction will benefit "The Sunshine Kids" which is a great charity chosen by the staff at the Austin Hard Rock Cafe.
