Global Heat
“a hip-hoppin' rock fusion funk rapping break dancing good time!”
Art Institute of Seattle

Global Heat takes you on a high-energy journey into Hip Hop Soul, Funk, and World Beat music spiced with break dancing.  This all-LIVE ensemble, featuring MCs Orbitron and Dadical with soulful vocalist MSJR, offers tightly arranged original songs as well as spontaneous compositions based on audience-suggested topics.  Global Heat was featured for a week of performances at the 2006 Shanghai (China) International Music Festival.  Members have performed throughout the world, including recent tours in Vietnam, Australia, and Malaysia.

Black Stax
“what defines Loud is…is her flawless command of the tones and textures of American Soul…what defines [the MCs] is their commitment to a hip hop that is complicated at the levels of ideas and expression, politics and language.”
The Stranger

Black Stax is the avant-garde of Seattle Hip Hop. Comprised of MCs Silas Blak and Jace ECAj and vocalist Felicia Loud, Black Stax creates an eclectic, urban sound.  Felicia Loud is a born performer, a soulful vocalist, and an impressive stage actress (who most recently starred in Strawberry Theater Workshop’s Lay Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill).  Silas Blak and Jace ECAj, of the The Silent Lambs Project, have been a Seattle Hip-Hop staple since the 1990’s.  Black Stax has performed at Seattle’s most popular music venues and on national tours.

Suntonio Bandanaz
“Suntonio Bandanaz is an unquestionable legend in 206 Hip Hop.  His hustle ethic, supreme chop skills, and voracious appetite for beats to eat alive are well known throughout the Northwest and the Independent music scene of the US”
Shamako Noble - Hip Hop Congress

One of Seattle's most prolific Underground Hip Hop MCs, Suntonio Bandanaz, (aka "Asun") spearheads the pioneering Seattle collective of emcees, deejays, b-boys, and other artist-visionaries, known as Alpha P. (also 1st Platoon).  Bandanaz has shared the stage with some of Hip Hop's Finest including: Afrika Bambaataa, Dead Prez, Percee P, The Jacka, and Living Legends.  He envisions music as a platform to not only entertain, but also to uplift, unify, and empower by generating knowledge of self, cultural relevance, and artistic expression. Bandanaz is celebrated for his raw skill, his chop and flow, command of double-time, and ever sophisticated lyricism.

“You guys rose to the occasion last night! Thank you so much for being a part of The Lowdown”
Amy O’Neal - Seattle Theatre Group

SoulShifters originated from the Hip Hop dance scene in Seattle, particularly from a break dance crew called Circle of Fire.  They have transformed from simply B-boys to a dance theatre complete with love musicians and DJ.  Members of SoulShifters have traveled the world participating in Hip Hop dance competitions as competitors and judges.  They were one of the featured acts in The Lowdown, An Unexpected Night of Seattle Dance Performance at The Moore Theatre in Seattle (2011) produced by Seattle Theatre Group.
