EDDIE VAN HALEN - STAGE OUTFIT
We're displaying a surprisingly subtle outfit that Eddie wore on Van Halen's 2007 tour. With dark cargo pants and a plaid short-sleeve shirt, it almost looks like something the Seattle bands would have worn in the '90s.
Tony Iommi - Black Sabbath - Trenchcoat
We're displaying a black leather (of course) trenchcoat worn onstage by Black Sabbath main man Tony Iommi during the group’s 2007 tour of Japan in support of our
Ambassadors of Rock
concert series.
Ron Blair - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Danelectro Bass
We're showing off Ron Blair's impossibly cool custom Danelectro bass. Ron was Petty's original bass player, but left the band in 1981. He later returned to the group in 2002. That's a 21-year hiatus! He played this bass onstage in 2008.
C.C DeVILLE - POISON - STAGE OUTFIT
We're displaying C.C's surprisingly understated stage outfit from Poison's 20th anniversary tour. It's complete with a Johnny Cash t-shirt.
ELVIS PRESLEY - WESTERN SHIRT
You've got to see the Elvis shirt we're displaying. It's a corduroy western shirt with "E.P" embroidered on the breast pocket. Too cool!
OZZY OSBOURNE - VELVET ELVIS JACKET
Ozzy has always had a unique fashion sense, but the velvet Elvis jacket we have on display might just be the greatest thing he ever wore.
ROGER DALTREY - THE WHO - FRINGED JACKET
Probably the single most iconic piece on the walls of the Hyderabad cafe is Roger Daltrey's fringed jacket. It's hard to picture Roger in the '70s without his trademark fringed buckskin gear.
NIKKI SIXX - MöTLEY CRüE - SPECTOR BASS
On display is a custom Spector Thunderbird bass. Nikki has had “Thunderbird”-style basses from Gibson, Epiphone, and Hamer, but this custom Spector takes the cake. It's simply awesome. Maybe that's why Nikki used it on both the
Girls, Girls, Girls
and
Dr. Feelgood
tours.
ELTON JOHN - PLAID SUIT
Few pop songs sum up ’70s A.M. radio more completely than Elton John and Kiki Dee’s 1976 smash, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”. It was Elton’s very first U.K number one (that little tidbit of information surprised us, too) and a perfect piece of pop fluff. An extremely casual video was shot for the tune – it featured Elton and Kiki in a fake studio hamming it up and singing along with the track. The whole clip is one take, one shot. It is also unintentionally hilarious. This plaid suit, which could only exist in the ’70s, was worn by Elton in the clip.
JOEY KRAMER - AEROSMITH - STAGE OUTFIT
Aerosmith’s legendary drummer wore this snazzy little outfit during the group’s 2004 tour in support of the album
Honkin’ on Bobo
.
