DAVID BOWIE
This completely over-the-top striped blazer was owned and operated by David Bowie during his early ‘70s Ziggy Stardust period. JIMI HENDRIX
There are quite a few great examples of Jimi Hendrix wardrobe in the Hard Rock collection, but Hamburg has one of our favorites – a suede and wool Afghan jacket he wore in 1968. JOHNNY CASH
The legendary Man in Black served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and was stationed in Europe for most of that time. In fact, Johnny started his first group right here in Germany. On display is his uniform from his days in the military. TONY IOMMI – BLACK SABBATH
We've got an over-the-top BC Rich Ironbird guitar that was custom built for Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi. He used it extensively in his “Star Licks” instructional video in ’84. It’s the baddest axe in town. JOHN TAYLOR – DURAN DURAN
If video killed the radio star, Duran Duran was the murder weapon. These English boys combined catchy songs and great looks with some very real musical ability and ruled the ‘80s and beyond. On display is an Aria bass that was John Taylor’s in 1984. SID VICIOUS – SEX PISTOLS
Before he joined the Sex Pistols and became the poster boy for all things cool and depraved, Sid Vicious was just another London punk. That’s when he owned the shirt we've got proudly and loudly displayed. PRINCE
We've got a tiny pair of velvet gloves that were part of Prince’s stage wardrobe during the Purple Rain tour. ERIC CLAPTON
Slowhand abandoned the hippie trappings of his ‘60s roots in favor of classic tailored suits many years ago. The beautiful Armani double-breasted number we have on display is a prime example. It’s straight from Clapton’s wardrobe. ELVIS PRESLEY
The King owned and operated this badass leather jacket in the early ‘70s. The small cape attachment just makes it extra-groovy. GENE SIMMONS – KISS
The mastermind behind the mighty KISS – Gene Simmons – used the “Punisher” bass we have on display onstage in Berlin in 2010.
