JIMI HENDRIX
This hooded, floor-length cape was worn by Jimi in London to what he described as “a fancy-dress society ball”. This thing is very heavy - London gets chilly. It's amazing how Hendrix could look so good in such bizarre attire. The guy would still be the Voodoo Child if he wore a burlap sack.
KISS
In 10,000 years, when alien archaeologists come to Earth and sift through the remains of our once-great civilization, they will hopefully unearth these KISS costumes from the
Psycho Circus
tour and assume that this was our standard day-to-day clothing. They will then declare that the people of Earth were the coolest life forms in the history of the known universe.
ROY ORBISON
Like Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison’s glasses were as much a part of his persona as his voice. Can you even picture Roy without his glasses? Neither can we.
X – JOHN DOE
On display is a custom Fender Jazz Bass that was owned and operated by the bassist, singer and songwriter for seminal Los Angeles band X, John Doe. It's almost too cool.
THE WHO – JOHN ENTWISTLE
No trip to Las Vages is complete without stopping by the Hard Rock Cafe to pay respects to the custom Wal bass that belonged to the greatest rock bass player of all time – The Who’s John Entwistle.
ELVIS PRESLEY
When you see the spangly suit on display at the Las Vegas Hard Rock, you'll know immediately that it could only have belonged to the King.
FRANK SINATRA
The Chairman of the Board was the original rock star – long before there even was such a thing. And he always dressed sharp. Hoboken’s favorite son wore this black tux and patent-leather evening shoes regularly in the ’60s.
PRINCE
One of the more over-the-top outfits on display in the Las Vegas cafe is a double breasted purple satin jacket that belonged to Minneapolis' favorite son Prince. It's very cool and very small.
THE BEATLES - GEORGE HARRISON
Original handwritten letters are among the most treasured artifacts in our collection and the Las Vegas cafe has an amazing display. The best of the bunch is probably a postcard from George Harrison. It was written in 1962 and discusses the recent death of original Beatles bassist Stu Sutcliffe. This piece is a must-see.
BON JOVI – RICHIE SAMBORA
This custom Kramer guitar was built for Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. The “Who Dares Wins” motif matches one of Richie’s tattoos.
