Jimi Hendrix

In addition to being almost universally regarded as the greatest electric guitarist of all time, Jimi Hendrix was one of the primary trendsetters of sixties fashion. This paisley jacket was made by ‘Lord Jim of Carnaby Street’. Hendrix wore it circa 1969.

Dimebag Darell - Pantera

“Dimebag” Darrell Abbott rewrote the book on heavy metal guitar in the ‘90s with his band Pantera. Though he died in 2006, his shadow still looms large over the entire metal genre. This Dean ML guitar belonged to Darrell and features a sticker of one of his main inspirations – Ace Frehley of KISS.

Whitney Houston

The late, great Whitney Houston has left an unparalleled legacy of hit songs and incredible vocal performances that will influence future performers for generations to come. She wore this gown during her very first tour in 1985.

Frank Zappa

A true original, Frank Zappa created an enormous body of work that defies classification. With incredibly challenging music and healthy doses of humor, Frank was essentially a one-man genre. This tweed coat is from his wardrobe.

Elton John

In 1975, Elton John released ‘Rock of the Westies’ – his tenth album. Often regarded as one his best, the album contains classics like “Island Girl” and “Grow Some Funk of Your Own”. Elton wore this elaborately embroidered ski suit during the album’s photo shoot.

The Clash

Clash bassist Paul Simonon not only anchored one of the greatest punk bands of all time, he was largely responsible for the English punk dress code that still resonates with fashion designers today. He wore this shirt onstage with the Clash on December 1st, 1976 and on March 11th, 1977.

Elvis Presley

The King owned this button-up shirt and later gave it to his friend and hairdresser Homer Gilleland.

John Lennon

This t-shirt belonged to John Lennon in the early ‘70s and he wore it to the recording sessions for his 1972 album ‘Sometime in New York City’. During the sessions, he traded it to bassist Gary Scyoc in exchange for Gary’s “Elephant’s Memory” shirt.

Motley Crue

Mötley Crüe emerged from the vibrant Los Angeles metal scene of the early ‘80s to become one of the biggest bands of the last 30 years. Drummer Tommy Lee used this bass drum head during the group’s infamous 1984 ‘Shout at the Devil’ tour.

Johnny Cash

This rare and beautiful acoustic guitar is a Grammer Johnny Cash model that the “Man in Black” himself owned in the early ‘70s. He gave this guitar to r&b legend Hank Ballard in 1971 and it eventually found its way to a fan named Richard Conti. Richard had Johnny sign it in 1995.
