HARD ROCK INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA MODEL SEARCH CONTEST RULES
 
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
 
Contest Period:  The University of Central Florida Model Search Contest (“Contest”) shall run from September 3, 2014 until September 26, 2014 (“Contest Period”).  Sixty (30 men and 30 women) Finalists will be announced on or about September 25, 2014.  Two (2) Grand Prize Winners will be announced on or about September 26, 2014.
 
Eligibility:  To be eligible for this Contest, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, and a student currently enrolled at University of Central Florida (“UCF”).  Employees of Hard Rock and its parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, or any of the individual Hard Rock locations, and their immediate family (parents, grandparents, siblings, and children) and persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible to enter.
 
Entry Requirements:  To enter the Contest, sign-up in person at the Hard Rock International booth on UCF’s campus from 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) until 4:00 pm ET on September 3, 9, 11 or 17, 2014.  There is no charge or fee to sign-up for the Contest.  Once you have filled out an application form and a release, you will be given a free Hard Rock Classic T-Shirt (“Classic T”).  You have the option of personalizing the Classic T at that time.  After you have personalized your Classic T, Hard Rock volunteers at the booth will take a picture of you (“Photo”).  The Photo will be posted on the Hard Rock Live Orlando Facebook Page, available at https://www.facebook.com/hardrockliveorlando (the “Facebook Page”), for the voting phase of the Contest.  You can then visit the Facebook Page, tag yourself, share your Photo with your friends and family, and encourage them to “Like” your Photo.  In order to enter the Contest you must fill out the application form, sign the release, and tag your Photo on the Facebook Page (each an “Entry”).  Only one (1) Entry per person.
 
Voting Phase:  Each Photo entered into the Contest will be posted on the Facebook Page on or about the date it is taken.  Each Photo will be eligible to be voted upon for a one-week period from the posting (each a “Voting Phase”) according to the following schedule:

The number of “Likes” a particular Photo receives during its Voting Phase will be used to determine the “Finalists” as described below.  Only one “Like” per Photo per person.  Photos may remain posted on the Facebook Page and “Likes” may still be acquired after the Voting Phase, but only “Likes” received during official Voting Phase for a Photo will be counted.
 
Entrants are prohibited from obtaining “Likes” by any fraudulent or inappropriate means as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, buying votes and/or “Likes” or offering prizes or other inducements.  Any attempt by any person to submit more than the stated number of “Likes” by using false or fictitious names or email addresses, multiple/different email addresses, identities or any other method will void those “Likes” and may result in disqualification of that entrant.  Use of script, macro or any other automated systems to submit “Likes” is prohibited and all such “Likes” utilizing those means will be void.  Any listing of the number of “Likes” during the Voting Phase shall be considered preliminary and shall not constitute an official tally of the “Likes” for purposes of determining the Finalists.  The actual Finalists will only be determined after close of the Voting Phases and the Sponsor has taken such steps as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion to verify the voting.  All decisions made by Sponsor regarding the disqualification of “Likes” or any entrant will be in Sponsor’s sole discretion and final and binding on all entrants.  “Likes” received after official vote end, will not count in contest.
 
Selection of Finalists:  The sixty (60) Entry Photos on the Facebook Page which have the highest number of “Likes” after completion of all the Voting Phases (30 females and 30 males) will be selected as finalists (the “Finalists”) and proceed to the Live Round, as defined below.  The Finalists will be notified by telephone and/or email or via their Facebook account at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  If a potential Finalist cannot be reached or does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the first notification attempt, Sponsor may select a new Finalist according to the criteria set forth above.  Entrants are responsible for updating their contact information for purposes of notification.
 
Finalists may be required to provide evidence of identity satisfactory to Hard Rock in order to participate in the Live Round and may be subject to a background check or investigation by Sponsor.  If such background check or investigation indicates that an entrant is not suitable to receive the prize or would bring Sponsor or the Contest into disrepute, then Sponsor may disqualify that person in its sole discretion and select a new Finalist according to the criteria set forth above.
 
Selection of Winner:  On September 26, 2014, the Finalists will wear their Classic T on stage at Hard Rock Live Orlando (the “Live Round”).  Finalists will first participate in a fan led “one-on-one” competition, to narrow 60 Finalists to the top 30 Finalists (15 men and 15 women).  Finalists will be paired by Sponsor and one from each pair will be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion to advance to the next round based on audience reaction.  Sponsor and/or its Judges (defined herein) can also select an additional four (4) Finalists (2 women and 2 men) that lost the head-to-head competition to advance to the next round.  The remaining thirty-four (34) Finalists will then compete in a final walk-office to be judged by a panel of four (4) judges (“Judges”) selected by Sponsor.  The Judges will select two (2) winners (one (1) male and one (1) female) (each a “Grand Prize Winner”) based on the following criteria:  personality (25%), style (25%), runway walk (25%) and audience participation/support (25%).  All Finalists agree to comply with any and all rules or requirements provided by Sponsor in connection with the Live Round and shall not engage in any conduct that is obscene, disruptive, derogatory or offensive.  Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify and remove any Finalist that violates any such rules or requirements or engages in such conduct.
 
The Grand Prize Winners will be announced at the Live Round.  The Grand Prize Winners will be required to execute and return to Sponsor an Affidavit and Publicity/Liability Release (except where prohibited by law) in such form as designated by Sponsor as well as a Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification or other tax documentation requested by Hard Rock.  If said documents are not executed by the Grand Prize Winners and received back by Sponsor within Five (5) days of notification, the prize will be forfeited, the Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified, and an alternative Grand Prize Winner will be selected based on the judging criteria above.
 
Grand Prize:  Two (2) Grand Prize Winners (one (1) woman and one (1) man) will each receive the following:
 
(a) one (1) two thousand five hundred dollar ($2,500) scholarship towards tuition and room and board at UCF (the “Scholarship Award”).  To be eligible for the Scholarship Award, the Grand Prize Winner must be a student in good standing and currently enrolled at UCF.  The Scholarship will be deposited directly into the Grand Prize Winner’s account at UCF and may only be used for payment of tuition and room and board; and
 
(b) a trip for two (2) people to San Miguel, Mexico, which shall consist of a flight from Orlando International Airport to Cancun International Airport, hotel accommodations for two (2) people (double occupancy) for three (3) nights at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, Mexico (the Grand Prize Winner and a guest) (the “Winner Trip”), an opportunity to participate in the Hard Rock International Global Conference runway show on January 21-22, 2015 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, Mexico, and an opportunity to be included in a Hard Rock merchandise marketing campaign in 2015 (the details of which are subject to Hard Rock’s discretion, but may include use of the Grand Winner’s Photo in a 2015 merchandise campaign that may  include windows, merchandise hang tags, in-store signage and online graphics and eblasts).  The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) for the Winner Trip prize is US $5,000.  Actual travel and lodging costs may vary from the ARV, but the Grand Prize Winners are not entitled to any difference between the ARV and the actual value of the prizes.  All expenses of making the Winner Trip not specifically listed above, including without limitation, parking, ground transportation, excursions, tips, incidentals and meals not covered under the hotel’s standard all-exclusive package, are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners and their guests.  Grand Prize Winners and their guests must have all required travel documents, including valid passport and any required travel visas, to travel to Mexico.  The Grand Prize Winner’s guest must be over the age of eighteen (18) and sign a travel liability release and publicity release.  Once booked, the Winner Trip cannot be canceled or rescheduled, except with the permission of Sponsor.  A Grand Prize Winner will not be entitled to a cash prize or other consideration in the event the Grand Prize Winner cannot attend the Winner Trip or the Winner Trip is cancelled or postponed for any reason.
 
Note:  In order to accept the Winner Trip prize, the Grand Prize Winner and his or her guest must travel and be in Riviera Maya, Mexico on Global Conference Runway show dates (January 21-22, 2015).  If the Grand Prize Winner cannot travel on said dates, the Winner Trip prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to another Finalist based on the criteria set forth above.
 
The odds of winning depend on the number and skill of the competing participants.  The Grand Prize Winner is responsible for and shall pay all federal, state and local taxes associated with the prizes.  Prizes are not transferable and no prize substitution is available, except that Sponsor may substitute another prize of equal or greater value in place of the stated prize, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
 
Privacy:  Entry in the Contest constitutes consent to transfer personal information to Hard Rock for purposes of administration of the Contest by Hard Rock and its authorized agents, and for such other purposes to which entrant may consent, or as otherwise described in these Official Rules.  All information submitted to Hard Rock as part of this Contest will be treated in accordance with Hard Rock’s privacy policy, available at http://www.hardrock.com.
 
Contest Conditions:  This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws of the United States only and is not subject to any laws outside of the United States.  Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation or enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Hard Rock in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Florida or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Florida.  By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Hard Rock and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules.  The invalidity or enforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.  The Grand Prize Winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Hard Rock and all of its affiliated and related entities (including without limitation Hard Rock Live Orlando), UCF, Facebook, Inc. and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from an) acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Contest-related activity or travel, or participation in this Contest, or b) any error in the collection or retention of entry information.
 
Limitations of Liability:  Hard Rock, UCF and Facebook will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants and Grand Prize Winner, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize, prize-related travel or participation in this Contest.  Hard Rock is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete entries, due to system errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors or failures or faulty transmissions, or for any other problems or technical malfunctions.  Hard Rock may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Hard Rock.  If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Hard Rock which corrupt in any way or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, fulfillment or proper conduct of the Contest, then Hard Rock reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion and without advance notice to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select a winner by randomly drawing from those eligible entries received up to the cancellation/termination/suspension date.
 
Winner’s List:  The sixty (60) Finalists will be posted on the Facebook Page after voting ends on September 25, 2014.  The Grand Prize Winners will be posted on the Facebook Page after the Live Event on September 26, 2014.
