Elton John

Equally as iconic in the world of fashion as he is in the world of music, Sir Elton has set the standard for sartorial showmanship in rock. He owned and wore these glasses in the ‘70s.

Gene Simmons Boots

Truly one of the all-time great American rock bands, KISS has become a rite of passage for every teenage rock ‘n’ roller. These boots could only have belonged to bassist Gene Simmons. He wore them during the band’s 1987 Crazy Nights tour.

Handwritten Manuscript

This is a handwritten manuscript from the late Nirvana frontman.

Van Halen

Charvel Guitar

In the world of rock guitarists, there’s Eddie Van Halen and then there’s everyone else. Eddie is such a singular and revolutionary player, the instrument was fundamentally changed when Van Halen released their 1978 debut. This striped Charvel guitar was played by the master himself in Nashville on April 27 2012.

Washburn Guitar

This Washburn guitar was played onstage by Paul Stanley in Perth, Australia in 2000.

Handwritten Letter

In this 1984 letter, Prince tells a fan, "Your letters surely brighten my day. You’re so sweet. I'm glad you’re my friend. If U dig the video, wait until U see the movie.” He was referring to the upcoming release of his iconic film Purple Rain.

Elvis Presley

Ronson Lighter

Whenever the King wanted to light up in the mid ’60s, he reached for this awesome custom Ronson lighter. It’s gold and silver plated and features an engraving of Elvis’ “E.A.P” initials. The famously generous Presley gave this lighter to Claude Thompson in 1968. Claude was the choreographer on Elvis’ legendary 1968 comeback special.

Rolling Stones

Wig and LP

In the annals of the strangest (and funniest) record company promotional items, this surely has a place of honor. This wig served to promote the Stones’ classic 1978 album Some Girls.
