Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming have released a Corporate Social Responsibility Report: Fifty Years Forward, outlining efforts to improve lives, help communities and sustain the earth, infused with the power of music.
Social purpose is at the core of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming.
- For the past 50 years, Hard Rock has been guided by four founding mottos: Love All-Serve All, All Is One, Save The Planet and Take Time To Be Kind.
- When the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired Hard Rock International in March 2007, it fused unparalleled service across cafes, hotels and casinos with a commitment to serving local communities and gaining trust based on measurable action.
- Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming operate 250+ cafes, hotels and casinos spanning 67 countries and with that comes a responsibility to support local communities all over the world.
The CSR report reflects Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming's progress towards the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which call for action to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming have established a multi-pronged approach to continue investing in five crucial areas:
1. COMMUNITY IMPACT & CORPORATE GIVING
Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming have invested locally, nationally and globally across causes that matter most to the communities they operate in.
- Priorities, such as hunger relief, cancer prevention, diversity equity & inclusion, human trafficking prevention, children’s hospice care, socioeconomic conditions and inspiring people’s connection to music, are championed in a multitude of ways throughout the year.
- The annual PINKTOBER campaign has raised more than $11 million dollars for breast cancer awareness and education to date from its inception in 2000.
- In partnership with WhyHunger, Hard Rock has raised $6.8 million to date to combat global hunger and poverty, and has provided 9.8 million meals to 120,600 children and their families in 31 countries.
- $9 million has been raised locally by team members across Seminole Gaming casinos, as we well as Hard Rock casinos, hotels and cafe locations to support community needs.
- As part of its philanthropic arm, Hard Rock Heals, an investment of more than $1.8 million has been dedicated to supporting music-based programs and partnerships around the world.
- Hard Rock Cafes raised funds through “Family Bundles” to support No Kid Hungry, a campaign to end childhood hunger in America, providing 250,000 meals to children during COVID-19.
- $200,000 was donated from Team Members across three property locations to support Hurricane Ian recovery and relief efforts.
- In partnership with Variety, filmed “Live From My Den,” a weekly digital series to showcase musical artists’ intimate live performances at iconic Hard Rock locations across the country. Each episode of Live from My Den highlights a local charity organization important to the artist promoted via donation links, resulting in $2.1 million from 2018-21 across a range of organizations.
- In 2022, donated $100,000 to The Elton John AIDS Foundation, coinciding with the conclusion of Hard Rock International’s 50th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Elton’s Madman Across the Water album.

2. TEAM MEMBERS, CULTURE & DEI
Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming continue a tradition of inclusion by building upon equitable policies, programs and practices aimed at maintaining and attracting diverse talent, cultivating a culture of inclusion, and setting a standard for equitable and responsible practices within the industry.
- Supporting indigenous-owned and local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with $26 million in annual purchases from Minority Business Enterprise, Women Business Enterprise, Veteran Business Enterprise, and Disabled Business Enterprise.
- The Seminole & Hard Rock Women in Leadership program has been working to increase women’s representation within leadership roles. Through tailored programs, women in director and vice president roles have risen from to 32% and 27% respectively, both of which are above the industry standard of 22%.
- Seminole Tribal Members are invited to participate in a Tribal Career Development Program designed to build business skills, develop leadership capabilities and give Tribal Members access to senior leaders.
- Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) foster a sense of belonging and inclusion that can spark innovation and accelerate employee development. Our 11 TMRGs include: Caring (caregivers), R.E.A.C.H. (people with disabilities), Inspire (leadership development), A.P.I. (Asian Pacific Islander), Unconquered (Seminole Native American Indigenous), V.I.B.E. (Black & African American), Salute (veterans, military, police and first responders), Believe (interfaith), L.EA.D. (Latine), P.U.L.S.E. (LGBTQ+), and Generations Now (intergenerational).
